TNFD is putting Nature on the agenda and the EU with ESRS is generating a real need for metrics to articulate and measure impact on nature is accelerating. The complexity of our interaction with and of Nature makes this way more complex than measuring GHg emissions for the climate challenge.
It's therefore really encouraging seeing efforts to co-operate and learn from each other in addressing the challenges. Below is a link to the launch webinar for the Global Biodiversity Score a measure designed to address the reporting needed by ESRS E4. Well worth a watch if your wanting to know how to think about impact on biodiversity and it's and ecosystems. Really good to see they have adopted the TNFD's LEAP process of approaching the challenge and the case study incorporates how SBNT work ensures a robust science base to quantifying impact and assessing the effect of interventions to achieve transition plans.
There is a Mapping exercise which looks at the tools and frameworks that can help illuminate the challenge and enable effective response. It would be great to hear opinions on how useful these are if you have looked into them and tried using them.
