Content Steering Committee

 

This group’s focus is on delivering content to members around career management skills such as interview technique, career planning and developing your personal brand. The group should be guided by the career management area within the competency framework plus data that shows what members are engaging with.

 

The group is tasked with:

 

  • Identifying where CFA UK has gaps in content as per the competency framework
  • Curating content for Discover that lines up with the competency framework with a focus on filling identified gaps
  • Creating or commissioning original content for Discover:
  • Ensuring content is in line with CFA UK’s quality standards
  • Contacting subject matter experts requesting original submissions
  • Interviewing subject matter experts over zoom to create video content
  • Identifying potential podcast guests
  • Curate and package content to produce learning guides for CFA UK Discover – e.g. a package of content
  • Proposing and confirming webinar topics and speakers that line up with the competency framework in line with the events delivery schedule.
  • Regular liaison with the other careers working groups and the Inclusion & Diversity Committee – this may include a couple of dedicated virtual meetings on careers content during the year
  • CFA UK Events Team will provide a clear event delivery schedule for your group for H1 and H2

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Volunteers with a strong interest and understanding of what career management skills investment professionals need
  • Volunteers with either: contacts who are soft skills subject matter experts that will provide content or speak on webinars; and/or a willingness and ability to research and engage with relevant subject matter experts
  • Availability for around six meetings throughout the membership year plus conference calls and work to move ideas forward between meetings
  • Ability to work with a group to shape ideas.
