The 500 industry professionals who actively volunteer support all aspects of CFA UK's work in advancing the investment profession. 

The impact of active members is vital to the Society, its members and the wider profession. 

The Volunteer Steering Committee (VSC) works on behalf of the CFA UK Board to lead and govern volunteering within the Society towards a vision in which all members want and are able to contribute to the betterment of their profession throughout their careers: a society of active members supporting and leading the investment profession forward. 

To help do this the VSC is looking for new members to bring vision and energy to our work 

 

Purpose and Activities

As a Member your role would be to:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to member activity within CFA UK.
  • Oversee and review the actual impact and experience of volunteering at CFA UK.
  • Connect with the wider volunteer community to ensure the target Volunteer Experience is delivered across the whole community.
  • Network with fellow active members to discover and feedback their experiences directly to the VSC
  • Participate in the development and analysis of the annual volunteer survey
  • Work with the Staffed Office to ensure effective and efficient delivery of an excellent Volunteer Experience.
  • Attend ten Committee meetings in a year.

 Who are we looking for?

  • Members who have been active within CFA UK or in other professional bodies
  • Members who believe in the importance of a good volunteer experience in building engagement and success
  • Individuals who would enjoy building relationships throughout the volunteer community
  • Individuals with energy and creativity able to think outside the normal corporate environment to to motivate and engage colleagues
