Reports to:

Networks Steering Committee

The Committee is now looking to appoint a new Chair to ensure its continued success and oversee the implementation of a refreshed strategy over the next 1-3 years.

Key responsibilities of Chair: 

  • Facilitate the Committee in setting the CFA UK Inclusion and Diversity strategic direction, objectives and annual action plan
  • Work with the Committee to review the I&D thematic streams and content strategy, and establish and direct working groups to deliver key strands of the I&D strategy
  • Establish a strategy for connecting with other I&D networks in the investment industry
  • Foster a collegiate and collaborative volunteering environment
  • Run Committee meetings and hold the Committee accountable for delivery
  • Further develop and engage the I&D Network through Committee activity
  • Act as CFA UK spokesperson on I&D issues for press comment/interviews

Key activities of Chair:

  • Committee administration – set agenda, chair/facilitate meetings, arrange minute taking and circulation, review action points.
  • Review and update the Committee Terms of Reference (ToR) and carry out Chair responsibilities as set out in ToR.
  • Regularly connect with other areas of the CFA UK volunteer community to share plans and leverage expertise
  • Attend I&D events and host as appropriate
  • Liaison with staffed office leadership team and CFA Institute’s I&D team


Who we are looking for:

If you are passionate about driving the I&D agenda in investment, possess good commercial nous and a tenacious attitude to achieving successful outcomes through collaboration then this could be the role for you.

To complement the existing Committee members, we are seeking a highly engaged, action oriented and collaborative individual with:

  • Experience within the asset management industry
  • In a position of influence and with strong personal and professional networks in the industry and/or I&D investment sphere
  • Skills and experience in business leadership and/or committee or board (e.g. charity trustee, non-exec) leadership would be welcome
  • A strong understanding of and/or experience in building content and leveraging PR and social media to promote the CFA UK I&D purpose and profile
