Purpose
CFA UK’s new Award in Investment Business: Strategy, Clients and Commercial Performance is designed to give professionals working in an investment business or with an investment business an understanding of how an investment business operates in a competitive market.
The curriculum covers key areas such as managing an investment business, developing the commercial proposition, and navigating opportunities, risks, and constraints within the industry. It also examines client strategy and solutions, financial performance at both product and business levels, and how firms adapt to evolving sector trends.
By completing this award, candidates gain insight into the strategic, operational, and financial drivers that shape the investment industry, equipping them to make informed decisions and deliver value to clients.
The CFA UK Level 3 Award in Investment Business supports individuals at all career stages, from newcomers to seasoned professionals seeking to broaden their strategic and commercial understanding of how investment organisations operate and deliver value.
The Panel will support the staffed office in setting the operational framework for CFA UK’s Award in Investment Business. The Panel will be responsible for all aspects of the provision, including the examination, syllabus and the Official Training Manual (OTM).
In between meetings, Panel members will be asked to review the syllabus, learning materials, new questions and new exam forms remotely.
The Panel will report to the Examinations and Education Committee, via the Panel Vice Chair.
