Are you passionate about technology and innovation impacting the investment community and eager to make a meaningful contribution? The CFA UK Technology and Innovation Community, a dynamic network of asset managers, asset owners, and financial advisors across the UK and Europe, is growing together to create a circle of experts and practitioners to enhance the profession. We share experiences, insights, and lessons learned through dedicated content and regular networking opportunities.
We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic, driven, and connected professionals to join us as Community Champions – the heart and face of our community. If you are passionate about technology and innovation and want to help shape the future of this industry, this is your opportunity to shine!
What You’ll Do as a Technology and Innovation Community Champion:
- Be the Host: Lead the conversation on our online platform (minimum once a week) by initiating discussions, posting insights, and engaging with other members to create a warm and trusting atmosphere.
- Lead Events: Help host both in-person and virtual events, from webinars and podcasts to online networking meetups, bringing fresh ideas and energy to each gathering.
- Shape the Future: Collaborate with the CFA UK office team to develop a dynamic plan of activities and content that resonates with the Community.
- Inspire and Connect: Attend and contribute to events as a networking host, speaker, or breakout room moderator, and help promote our community to drive growth and engagement.
- Build the Buzz: Share your involvement on platforms like LinkedIn, whether you are hosting a meetup, leading a webinar, or recording a podcast.
- Evaluate and Evolve: Play a key role in reviewing community activities, celebrating successes, identifying barriers, and proposing innovative ideas to enhance the community experience.
Who We’re Looking For:
- CFA UK Member: You must be a member of CFA UK, with a strong understanding and passion for technology and innovation.
- Engaged and Enthusiastic: You love networking, sharing knowledge, and engaging with your peers to foster meaningful discussions.
- Innovative and Collaborative: you are eager to work with others to shape ideas and create a vibrant community.
- Committed and Connected: You are available for approximately 50 hours a year (5 hours a month) for monthly meetings and available to contribute to for activities outside of those meetings, both online and in-person. The time frame for volunteering for this role is a minimum of 12 months.
