CFA UK's Ethics and Professionalism steering committee (ESPC)

Number of new member volunteers 

1-3

Ongoing (2 years minimum)

Commitment 

30-40 hours per year

The ESPC report to the CFA UK Board

 

The Committee  

The EPSC’s purpose is to build a better investment profession through advocacy and the promotion of ethical standards, while aligning with the CFA UK mission ‘We grow talent’.

Key activities of the EPSC include:

  • Represent the perspective of the CFA UK investment community
  • Respond to consultations and influence policy, including in collaboration with CFAI
  • Promote thought leadership in ethics and professionalism
  • Engage with members for insights and participation
  • Support events and engagement with our members

Due to gradual turnover, we are looking for additional volunteer members of the Committee to support us with key activities.

Who are we looking for? 

  • CFA UK members who are interested in professionalism and ethical issues.
  • Members willing to support thought leadership and consultations by providing insights and output contributions
  • Content skills and industry network – vision to recognise key topics and editorial judgment
  • Diversity of perspective to represent the membership.

 In particular we are keen to hear from applicants with experience in the following, to complement existing members:

  • Private markets
  • The use of Technology in investments
  • Macroeconomic analysis and perspectives
  • Availability for meetings every 8 weeks throughout the membership year via video conference calls or in person, and availability to participate in relevant working groups
