Join CFA UK’s Member Experience Steering Committee (MESC)

CFA UK are looking for committed and enthusiastic new members to join Member Experience Steering Committee (MESC).

We need someone with fresh ideas and a positive approach to improve how members and volunteers engage within our society. This is a chance to shape CFA UK’s future and ensure our 12,000 members feel proud, motivated, and connected to their profession.  New members will bring energy, creativity and a collaborative passion to support our aim of ensuring the committee maintains a balanced representation across professional backgrounds.

As a committee member, you’ll help identify opportunities to enhance the member and volunteer experience and foster connections across the community. You’ll work closely with the staffed office and other volunteers, to prioritise initiatives and support working groups, focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.

Whether you’re an experienced leader or early in your investment career, we welcome those who want to contribute, connect with people, and help build a vibrant member network.

What’s involved:

  • Commit to attend six to eight Committee meeting per year (in person or virtually).
  • Contribute ideas, support working groups, and follow up on actions between meetings.
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive member experience through collaboration and creativity.

What you’ll gain:

  • Influence CFA UK’s strategic direction.
  • Develop leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Access exclusive volunteer training and networking opportunities.
  • Build your profile across CFA UK’s membership and the wider industry.

Next steps:

Please send a one-page CV and brief cover letter outlining your motivations. There is a preference for members with experience in fund management or investment research, as this will support our aim of ensuring the committee maintains a balanced representation across professional backgrounds
