Join CFA UK’s new Investment Strategy Roundtable team.
The new Investment Strategy Roundtable Leadership team are looking for committed and enthusiastic volunteers to deliver a new flagship event series.
This is an opportunity to help shape a platform where senior investment professionals debate market trends and investment strategy under Chatham House Rules.
As part of this initiative, we are recruiting volunteer Co-Chairs and a volunteer Content Group Member. Whether you are a senior practitioner or looking to develop your investment writing profile, we welcome applicants who want to contribute, connect, and help build this exciting new series.
The Investment Strategy Roundtable is a new quarterly flagship series designed to bring together senior investment professionals—including CIOs, Portfolio Managers, and Strategists—to discuss core asset classes and macro implications for portfolio strategy.
The group's primary activity is to facilitate a curated, non-commercial forum for genuine debate. The discussions focus on strategic thinking across Equities, Fixed Income, and Private Markets, providing CFA UK members with high-quality insights from experienced practitioners.
Role: Content Group Member
We are looking for someone interested in investment strategy to attend the meetings and translate high-level debates into valuable member content.
Responsibilities:
- Capture Insights: Attend four quarterly Roundtable meetings (virtually or in-person) to take notes and identify key investment takeaways.
- Content Production: Produce high-quality written and/or audio summaries for the wider CFA UK membership.
- Preserve Confidentiality: Ensure all public-facing outputs are non-attributable and respect the privacy of the participants.
- Quick Turnaround: Work with the Co-Chairs and the CFA UK office to deliver content promptly following each event.
- Foster Engagement: Help use attendee questions and topic ideas to shape future content, ensuring a member-led experience.
What you’ll gain:
- Influence and support CFA UK’s flagship Investment Strategy Roundtable series.
- Develop investment strategy and communication skills.
- Access exclusive volunteer training and networking opportunities.
- Build your profile across CFA UK’s membership and the wider industry.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Hold the CFA UK Investment Management Certificate, the CFA UK Investment Business Award, or have passed the CFA Program Level I.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Relevant experience in investment writing or audio production.
