    The Cities Finance Facility (CFF) - a UNFCCC award-winning project preparation facility - has opened a call for cities to apply for support from the CFF to develop finance-ready projects to reduce emissions and strengthen resilience against the impacts of a warming climate.

    The CFF has already helped 30 cities mobilise $650m in climate investments and is on course to leverage over $1bn by 2025.

    This launch opens a new chapter for cities across the Global South, providing essential project preparation support to transform ambitious climate action plans into finance-ready, resilient urban infrastructure projects. The CFF supports cities by providing technical assistance, capacity building, and access to experts to develop urban infrastructure projects in the following areas;

    �� Nature-based solutions
    �� Energy and buildings
    �� Urban mobility
    �� Water and waste management

    The CFF will be accepting applications, for a first cohort of city projects, up to 15th February 2025– www.c40cff.org/apply
