Cities Finance Facility (CFF) has launched a City Academy on Finance and Equity (CAFE ) Workbook.
CFF is a partnership between C40 Cities and GIZ with a focus to link cities and finance to support a green and just transition.
This resource enables city officials in the Global South to independently explore finance, equity & inclusion considerations for preparing urban infrastructure projects
The workbook has four chapters that contain knowledge and tools to prepare sustainable and equitable infrastructure projects:
    1. The climate challenge faced by cities
    2. Equitable and inclusive best practice and processes
    3. The climate finance framework, finance instruments, and decision making tools
    4. Project preparation, best practice and processes
Case studies covering city actions in the sectors of energy and buildings, solid waste management, nature-based solutions, and transport are included. The financing ladder on page 74 is a great snapshot of public and private financing - if you look at nothing else, look at this.
Please get in touch if you have any questions or feedback.
