Understand:

    • Why statistical evaluations are so complex to produce in the investment industry
    • What auto-correlation and cross-correlation are, and how these issues emerge
    • Key strategies to ensure the correlations in your backtesting data are genuine
    • Why one of the best ways to test for correlation is to test for decorrelation
    • How to choose the right backtesting strategy for what you do in your role

    Hi everyone,

CFA UK's Investment Talent Conference is only a few weeks away – but what's in it for you?

When you book your place, you get access to a stream of expert talks dedicated to marrying investing with technology. From how AI can help you with asset allocation and fund selection, to how to incorporate sentiment analysis into your decision-making, each of our expert talks helps you dive deeper into a key skill that investment firms are looking for from new hires.

Our talks will be delivered by experts who work with this tech day in, day out, and are showing others how to get the most from them. Giulio Renzi Ricci, Head of Asset Allocation, Europe, Vanguard will guide you through using AI to aid in fund selection, while Emily Prince, CEO of Yield Book, Group Head of Analytics, LSEG runs a session on how to master large and small language models.

And these talks aren't just theory – they give you the tools to deliver in your day-to-day role. From a masterclass in prompt engineering from Anna-Helena Mihov, CFA, Senior Quantitative Researcher, DWS, to how to use sentiment analysis to improve your strategies with Hania Schmidt, CFA, Global Co-Head of Client Portfolio Management for Quantitative Investment Strategies, Goldman Sachs, our Conference takes your AI skills to the next level and shows you how to leverage them to grow your career.

But that's not all – throughout the day there will be sessions on sustainable skills that can boost the success of your investments, and you'll learn how you can bridge the skills gap in our panel sessions with industry leaders. Then, there's the chance to connect with colleagues and investment professionals like you at our drinks reception – including some of you here!

If you want to take your talent further, book your place at the Conference now.

I will be running communities stands there too with fresh fruit and fortune wheel game, so come see me there!
