    OFFICIAL USE

    Hi everyone,

I am Martin Pospisil, I work as Principal Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). We are a multilateral developmental investment bank and we use investment as a tool to build market economies in about 40 markets of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Since 1991 we have invested over €180 billion in more than 6,800 projects across three continents. We are a climate finance leader and actively support Ukraine and other countries affected by the war there.

My job is to assess impact of EBRD projects (ex-ante, ex-post) and report on results. I lead the work on EBRD Country Results Snapshots and the Bank's alignment with the Operating Principles for Impact Management.

Hope to connect to people with similar interests.

    Kind regards

    Martin

    Hi Martin,

    It's good to meet you.

thank you for sharing your and EBRD's information. I had a look at the country snapshots that you shared, however there isn't overlap between the cities that C40 and the EBRD support.

One of the EBRD's esteemed colleagues - Josue Tanaka - is sharing insights with C40 to build out the climate finance aspects. You may know Josue, hence I'm mentioning him as it's often a small world.

I trust there will be areas to speak about as EBRD is a stalwart in the climate finance arena.

    Best Regards,

    Anita

hi Adetoyese, welcome! Really great to meet you and learn about the work that you are doing.

Very hot theme indeed on regulatory solutions driven by generative AI - feel free to share intersting ideas or some information on ladnscape and what the future holds for investors in terms of these solutions in our "discussion" space.

Will look forward to that and also to other members of this community engaging.

    Dear community members,

I am Marina Marchand. I am native French but lived most of my life in the UK. I work in the asset management industry as a listed Equity PM. I am a bottom-up fundamental investor, and companies corporate governance and social responsibilities policies have always been a critical focus when researching and investing in a firm.

I most consistently started to integrate ESG and sustainability accounting in my investment process in the last 3 years and after studying CFA ESG. I particularly enjoy engaging with companies on their sustainability strategy. I don’t feel I am a sustainability expert and I look forward to meeting investment professionals from which I will learn in the field.

    Best wishes
    Marina
