    The deal was just announced a couple of days ago. 

    Groq's official statement below (NVIDIA has yet to issue a public announcement).

    According to the analysts, the deal will have the following structure:

    • The partnership will have Groq's founder and CEO Jonathan Ross and others from the company joining Nvidia, which is reportedly paying $20 billion for some Groq assets
    • It will be a non-exclusive licensing pact that will leave Groq independent
    • Groq CFO Simon Edwards is set to take over as CEO. The company in September said it raised $750 million at a valuation of $6.9 billion
    • Groq was founded by creators of Google's tensor processing unit, or TPU, which competes with Nvidia for artificial intelligence workloads
