    My name is Abubakarr Musa. I am a risk-return investment analyst with an ESG investing certificate and extensive sustainability expertise. 

    The Data Science for Investment Professionals certificate from the CFA Institute has given me credible knowledge in AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP), which I hope will be of immense importance to the technology and innovation committee at the CFA Society, UK.

    Hi everybody,

    My name is Florian Esterer. I have spent most of my professional career in equity investment management, starting as an analyst and ending up leading a sustainable investment organization. During that career, I have built quantitative investment teams twice, one of which was awarded a five-star Morningstar rating for some of their funds. Lately, I have transitioned into a new career and have become a financial accounting standard setter. We are defining the rules by which financial statements and their associated notes need to be prepared. As a result, we are keenly following how the usage of technology is changing how financial information is being used as it might have implications on how we need to define our standards. This is particularly true for the usage of generative AI and its ability to analyse textual and qualitative information at scale.

    Hi, Nic Pillow here. I have a background working in and running early-stage tech companies, but for the last 5 years I've been working in venture capital and I'm a director of a listed Venture Capital Trust. We invest in - and support - startup tech businesses at Seed and Series A stage.     I am a bit late in formally joining the community, even though I am aware of its existence for a while.

    I have been a CFA charterholder since 1998. I started as a derivatives and risk management specialist in HSBC Asset Management, and then became an solution specialist for private banks and wealth managers. I have been running my own consulting company since 2020, where I and my colleagues offer different investment support services to institutional investors and professional advisers.

    With an engineering background, I am very keen to know more about innovation and financial technology. Automation, better support in compliance and risk management, and other technology solutions are important, not just for making investment decisions but also on the entire business workflow.

    I am also keen to exchange and learn ideas with other community members. We should demonstrate our integrity, critical thinking and professionalism to the public, whose opinion is often led by less clued up commentators on the social media.

    Sadly I am travelling on business today and can't join the online coffee catch up. But I look forward to seeing all of you, virtually or in person, in future events.

    Hello Everyone,

    My name is Harish C Gottipati. I'm an experienced Data Solutions Consultant (Freelancer/Contractor) helping financial firms fixing their (client data/analytics) data by providing solutions (front/middle office). I have extensively worked on the implementation of portfolio management systems/related target systems (CRM, Anaplan, or any inhouse systems), working with 3rd party data providers (S&P, Factset etc..), TAs and custodians etc.) architecting the process flows adding value to the business. Most of my experience is within Asset management/Asset owners space (buy side) which I enjoyed (still enjoy!) the most. 

    After those years of experience, I felt there is a gap in my knowledge and that made me to look at CFA. Currently, I'm working on my CFA level 1 in parallel to finding the next role.

    Good morning everyone,
    My name is Guillaume Ruquilla. I am a final year master's student at Audencia Business School in France and Aston University in the UK, undertaking a double degree programme (MSc Fintech/ Master in Management). I am currently based in Birmingham, UK.
    Regarding the CFA, I have been preparing for Level I since January and will be fully ready to sit the exam in November. In the meantime, I actively participate in CFA events organised both in the UK and in France.
    In terms of experience, a few months ago I completed a 5-month internship at the Banque de France (French central bank) where I was in charge of financial statement analysis/ credit ratings. I have also developed there data analytics tools by introducing my team to Power BI.
    My areas of interests include finance, but more particularly financial technology: tokenisation, crypto, AI and automation. I am particularly curious about how AI can help integrate qualitative analysis into financial analysis workflows.
    Alongside my studies, I also work on several personal Python projects. Among these, I have developed a single-stock analysis tool (market data + financial statements) using Python and local machine learning tools (Ollama, LSTM). It also integrates news fetching and sentiment analysis (FinBERT). If this is of interest, please feel free to explore my GitHub-I would be delighted to receive your feedback.
