I attended an excellent lecture by Professor Jim Skea Chair of the IPCC link to the lecture is below.  Most financial analysts' reuse of the IPCC work focuses on the charts of headline relationship between GHG accumulation and temperature rise and if action will reduce accumulation fast enough to stay at particular levels of temperature rise.  However the IPCC attempts to look in more granularity at impacts on various geographies and the potential for action and technologies to contribute to emission reduction.  The Link below to v brief comments I posted after the lecture on linkedin.

It does raise the point that the vulnerabilities in the near term in particular areas are stark and present hot spots of risk and opportunity but also need for urgent action for "public good" would be interesting to hear which areas community members are. most excited, alarmed or passionate about.
