    Good morning community!

I saw this Great post from Ben Dear - i like those quotes from Big Tech responding to the withdrawal from Paris agreement. ๐Ÿ‘

But what about Big Oil? ๐ŸŒ The world is watching. Here's what I am thinking about this Thursday morning:

๐Ÿ‘‰ How will the withdrawal from Paris Agreement impact us here in the UK and Europe?

๐Ÿ‘‰ How that withdrawal and other climate related changes in the US such us halt on offshore wind power leases and a sweeping plan on maximizing oil and gas production will impact investors and companies on our side of the pond?

๐Ÿ‘‰ How will Trump's instructions to the US federal departments and agencies to dismantle all their diversity, equity and inclusion programs resonate here? I hope there will be no uptake of similar initiatives here in the UK and Europe

A brittle yet articulated hope comes from learning that there is a slight discord between Trump and Big Oil ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ . While US oil and gas producers are thrilled with changes, they say that Trumps' decision to withraw the US from international climate cooperation will not help their investment plans in the global transition to cleaner energy!

This Reuter's article event says "Exxon and other big oil companies are planning long-term investments in technologies intended to fight climate change, including green hydrogen and carbon capture, whil also navigating decisions about new oil and gas exploration".

Can I shout out "whoo hoo" yet or is it premature?

Keen to hear members' thoughts and expectations on these big changes, please share.
