Good morning community and Happy Monday!

It's been a very busy January for us. We ran a great webinar on critical mineral resorces with Energy Transition SIG, look out for transcripts and the link for the recording which I will share later. On January 25th, we have had a great online networking meetup where Jacopo Gadani from Santander and Chloe Chan from EBRD discussed climate investing, same here, I will share notes soon.

Today I thought I'd remind you that we are running our own Biodiversity Survey, here's the link for the survey which takes 3 minutes to fill in. We are closing the process now so if you still would like to contribute you have by end of this week to share your insights in this Survey. We will share the results of the Survey in February.

Attached is the guide from MSCI on biodiveristy risks. An interesting read which focuses on:

    • how can i identify sectors, companies, products or activites that are key contributors to nature loss?
    • which of my portfolio holdings are most vulnerable to biodviersity loss?
    • are companies i invest in adequately managing biodviersity risks or impacts?
    • is it possible to mearue biodviersity risk exposure or impact across my portfolio

hope you enjoy this. In the meantime, it will be great to hear members' thoughts on these risks and how you approach them when assessing your portfolio?

    Hello everyone,

Some of you might be aware that BSI Standards and DEFRA are collaborating to creating standards for nature markets.  These standars are aimed at providing clarity and struture in nature markets and drive a step-change in the role of private finance in addressing nature's decline.

You can see this standard document attached here. BSE Flex 701 version 1 Standard (Overarching principles and framework - specification) sets out 22 core principles to support high-integrity nature market initiatives, codes and projects. These align with efforts to address market confidence in nature-based solutions.

Reminder that public consultation on this closes on May 1st.
