    Hello Community!

I also have this "going back to school feeling" and happy to share that Sustainability Community has been there for a whole year already! A great milestone for me and us to celebrate today!

On September 24th we kick off our 2nd year with member online networking meetup about impact accounting and impact valuation. Impact accounting and valuation allow companies to translate ESG impact into the language of currencty. This holistic approach greatly enhances company's performance analysis. It is also useful for both companies and investors seeking to manage sustainability related risks, opportunities and impact.

I recently met Christian Heller from Value Balancing Alliance who is pioneering this very important work on developing and trialling impact accounting methodology. VBA is a non-for-profit alliance of 30+ multinational companies (including Novartis, BASF, Bosch, Bayer, Anglo-American, BMW Group, Deutsche Bank, UBS etc) coming together to create a way of measuring and comparing the impact of businesses on the society, the economy, and the einvrionment.

I am delighted that Dimitrij Euler Head of Financial Markets from VBA, will join us on Sept 24th as a guest and will share insights on the new emerging impact valuation methodology, explain the use cases and lessons learned by those using that methodology already.

We are also lucky that this meetup is hosted by our community member Ronan Langford from EY who has done a lot of work in this space too. Big thank you to community members Denise Santana and James Kinsbrook for moderating the networking breakout rooms too!

In this community discussoin thread started by Ronan you can learn more about member experience in impact measurement too.
Don't forget to sign up for this networking meetup using the "events" button on community's page.

    Hope to see you there!
