The book tells the story of Arif Naqvi, the founder of the Dubai-based private-equity firm Abraaj, who is accused of swindling hundreds of millions of dollars from investors including Bill Gates, Bank of America and the British, American and French governments.

Simon Clark
Simon is a Wall Street Journal reporter based in London and a co-author of “The Key Man”.
His investigative reporting has led him to the poppy fields of Afghanistan, the copper mines of Congo, and to many banks in the City of London. He was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 2016. He lives in Lewes, England.
Will Louch
Will is a journalist and a co-author of “The Key Man”. He was previously a Wall Street Journal reporter covering private equity in London and New York. Before that, he was based in Brussels where he wrote about European politics. He lives in London.
Gus Badran
Investment manager (with 15 years’ combined experience in operations, product and business development within Cleantech and Technology companies) focusing on Cleantech, Industrial, Meditech and Technology companies who are seeking to raise venture and growth capital.
Chairman and founder of the Innovation Investing Special Interest Group (IISIG) within the Chartered Finance Analyst (CFA) UK Society.
Graduated from Imperial College London in Material Science & Engineering and also received a post graduate diploma in Manufacturing: Management & Technology and Control Systems from the Open University and the University of Sheffield respectively.
