I do not  have an active CFA UK membership:  Can I join CFA UK Member Groups?

Yes.  All CFA UK Member Group are open to non-members.  All groups can be accessed and joined through our online community platform CFA UK Connect.  As a non-member you won’t have instant access to this platform and will need to register with CFA UK first before you can log in.

Register
  • Complete the non-member sign up page. You will receive an email with a reference number to notify you your registration has been received.
  • CFA UK will  use the information you give to create an account for you, you will receive a second email when the account is set up and you can log in. This should take no longer than two working days.
  • Once you receive this email, follow the steps in "I'm a CFA UK member:  Where do I join Member Groups?"


I’m a CFA UK member:  Where do I join Member Groups?

All networks can be accessed and joined through our online community platform CFA UK Connect.

  • Go to https://connect.cfauk.org/home and click on ‘Log in’ in the top right corner. You will be taken to the CFA UK Connect Log in page.
  • Enter the email address to which you received the original email (this is your registered email with CFA UK) and click “Did you forget your password”. 
  • This will allow you to set a password for your CFA UK Connect account.
  • The first time you log into CFA UK Connect you will be asked to read and agree to the rules and etiquette for usage.

For ease of access, tick the Stay signed in box on the log in screen and bookmark the page in your browser.


My log in doesn’t work – how can I fix it?

  • Make sure you are using your CFA UK registered email address. If you can’t remember what this is, it will be the email to which you are sent all member communications like the weekly newsletter or if you are a non member joining Networks, use the email to which to received the log in instructions.
  • Forgotten passwords can be reset by clicking “Did you forget your password” on the login page.


Why should I update my profile?

Every user of CFA UK Connect can update their profile for other users to view. The information you wish to display is up to you but keeping your profile up to date will highlight your experience, skills and interests to other users and can help you build a stronger professional network.


How do I find Member Groups?

  • Once you successfully log in you will be directed to the home page click on Member Groups in the navigation bar and select Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
  • You will see a list of all the current SIGs you can join.
  • If you want a little more information on the group and want to see who is already a member and who the leaders of the SIG are, click on the group name and you will be taken to the main group page.

How do I join a Member Group?

  • Once you have identified a Member Group you would like to join in the list, you simply click the blue Join button on the Special Interest Groups page.
  • Or if you are in a specific group page, simply click the blue Join Community button to join.

How  does each group page work?

  • Once you join a Member Group, you will be able to start and join in discussions with the Group leadership team and Group members.
  • You can view members of the Group and email them directly to connect with them
  • You will see information from the Group leadership team about group meetings and events

How do I manage email notifications?

  • Change your notification settings in Go to My Profile, My Account or in Email Preferences and Community Notifications.
  • Typically CFA UK Connect emails may end up in your spam or junk. This is down to the email addresses not being on your inbox approved senders list.
  • To add us to your approved senders list might depend on what provider you use, but please look to change your settings to accept emails from
