CFA UK is here to educate, connect and inspire the professional investment industry. From long-standing members to newcomers, we help everyone find their voice and create their impact. Through robust qualifications, exciting events and powerful thought leadership, we help you turn your potential into progression.
Within the DEI pillar of the Sustainability Board-level Committee, we aim to collaborate, share and promote on the topical issues that create an inclusive workforce in the investment industry. We look to do this by providing educational content and promoting professional standards and best practice from members, employers and the investment industry; Alongside by creating an inclusive DEI network to promote the development of members’ careers through building individual skills.
Purpose and activities:

DEI Pillar members would also potentially have responsibility for forming and overseeing other working groups (please outline in your application if you would like to lead a pillar working group). Currently we are looking for an individual to lead our Share activities, which cover the annual DEI survey as well as formalising an approach to promoting aspects of DEI (e.g, socio-economic backgrounds)

Actively contribute bringing ideas and innovation, including supporting and attending working group meetings, creating frameworks, events, and webinars, and other group responsibilities

Use your professional networks to identify potential speakers and hosting venues

Introduce and further develop relationships with external DEI initiatives and organisations once a collaborative framework has been established

Promote our DEI content via social media networks and channels

Commit to attend Pillar Meetings and DEI Pillar meetings (virtual and/or in-person) and contribute to the discussion and action.
Who are CFA UK looking for?
To complement the existing DEI Pillar members, we require highly engaged, action oriented and diverse individuals to join us:
- Experienced individuals, who have a position of influence and with strong personal and professional network
- Early career individuals who are passionate about improving DEI within the industry are welcome
- We are keen to attract people from a broad range of backgrounds to increase the cognitive diversity and perspectives of the group
