Responsibilities and activities
• Attend quarterly 1.5-2.0h meetings, ideally in person
• Give approximately an additional 8h per quarter to carry out tasks between committee meetings, either autonomously or in collaboration with the CFA UK staffed office:
a. to collate meeting papers;
b. to progress action points;
c. to draft minutes and agendas of Investment Committee meetings, with the staffed office;
d. to generally help with the smooth operating of the Investment Committee.
• Over time, envisage that the successful applicant would take on research responsibilities and become a fulltime voting member of the Investment Committee
• Commit for a term of 2 years
• Uphold the values and objectives of the Investment Committee
• Contribute to the work of the committee and to the fulfilment of its responsibilities
• Show courtesy and respect to other members of the Investment Committee
• Act with integrity and declare any personal conflicts of interest.
Who are we looking for?
The Investment Committee would welcome applicants with some wealth or institutional management experience, great at organising and communicating, and have a good grasp of the basics of fund management.
Technical Skills
Required
• 3-5 years of fund investment experience and demonstrated expertise, studying towards / have the CFA charter
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills
• Good understanding of the basics of fund management
• Fund portfolio management, manager research, due diligence and/or selection
• Time commitment and capacity to fully contribute to the committee
Soft Skills (with competence, willingness and time to contribute)
• Organisational and administrative skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
