CFA UK is launching a new group of volunteer moderators drawn from across the investment profession. This group will moderate/chair webinars, events and podcasts, and represent the community as the friendly, professional and engaging face of CFA UK.
We’re looking for members who love to connect, communicate, and help our audiences and speakers get the most out of every session. We’d love to hear from you even if you haven’t volunteered before, and welcome applications from all sectors and all levels of experience.

CFA UK aim is to connect, educate and inspire our 12,000 members and, in doing so, help you develop your professional lives. Members are at the heart of everything we do and your contribution will create a real and lasting impact.
The role
We are committed to ensuring that your volunteering experience is meaningful, rewarding, and supported.
As a CFA UK Moderator, you’ll:
- Moderate live and virtual CFA UK events, webinars, and podcasts.
- Welcome speakers and guests, setting a comfortable and professional tone.
- Engage the audience, managing live Q&A, encouraging participation, and integrating questions seamlessly.
- Keep sessions on track, ensuring great pacing and time management.
- Represent CFA UK professionally, embodying the Society’s values of integrity, excellence, and collaboration.
- Work closely with the CFA UK content and events teams to prepare, brief, and debrief after sessions.
Who is CFA UK looking for?
- We’re seeking professionals who are curious, confident and keen to delve into topics, ask thoughtful questions and encourage open conversations.
- You don’t need to be a subject matter expert – your strength comes from the way you build relationships and make connections, and the way you approach situations with an open, steady mindset.
