    Hello Community!

Earlier this year back in May 2 community champions @Jim Totty and @David Manuel helped us to put together a fantastic event! We were also lucky to hear a presentation from Jim and learn from panellists David, @Louise Piffaut and @Stephanie Kelly and @John Teahan!

Based on what we've learned we've produced this great article!

    Have a read and share!

A key takeaway from CFA UK's discussion on Energy Security in 2026 is that the energy transition is no longer driven primarily by decarbonisation goals; it is increasingly shaped by energy security, affordability, and geopolitical resilience. Investors must now assess the entire energy value chain from generation and storage to grid infrastructure and end-user demand while factoring in risks from geopolitical tensions, UK dependence on gas-driven electricity pricing, growing AI and data-centre power consumption, electrification of transport and heating, and infrastructure bottlenecks.

The panel highlighted that future investment success will depend not only on financial analysis but also on understanding energy, climate, and resource resilience in a world where secure, reliable, and affordable power has become a strategic economic asset
