Economic Futures Program
This is Anthropic's new initiative to support research and policy development focused on addresing AI's economic impacts.
The focus is on 3 pillars:
- Reserach Grants - Providing grants, API credits, and partnerships to enable researchers to investigate AI's effects on labor, productivity, and value creation
- Evidence-Based Policy - Creating forums for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to develop and evaluate policy proposals on preparing for AI's economic impacts, grounded in real-world data
- Economic Measurement and Data - Scaling the Anthropic Economic Index to create longitudinal datasets tracking AI's economic usage and impact, with regular public data and research releases
