    Hello Community,

Excited to share an article that was written in collaboration between sustainability community champion @Anastasia Kuznetsova and myself.

We ran the survey in the investment community and the results are described in this survey. It featured 4 sectors that offer the potential for both financial returns and positive contributions to sustainable development:

    • water infrastructure
    • energy infrastructure
    • green hydrogen
    • cold storage

We also asked respondents on what prevents them into investing in these sectors or what other spaces they view as potential new spaces for ESG investing. Hope you will find this useful.

Share your insights in this thread if you are investing in these or similar spaces and if not what are the barriers?

    Hello Community!
    Happy 1st August!

I wanted to re-feature this ESG Trends Article prepared by our champion @Anastasia Kuznetsova from Nasdaq.

I wonder if we have members who are investing in these themes? (water infrastructure, energy infrastructure, green hydrogen, cold storage). If you are investing, what are your top three take-aways?

Also, Pictet AM issued a report "Active thematics in a global equity portfolio", perhaps an interesting read too.

    Hi Aya,

Thank you for resharing our "piece of art" that we created together last year.

While the survey was conducted in spring/summer 2023, its findings, especially the open-ended responses, remain highly relevant today in my opinion. Some participants highlighted the absence of robust government policies as a significant barrier to ESG investment. This observation also aligns with discussions at the CFA Sustainability Conference in May, where several speakers emphasized the crucial role of clear government signals in fostering capital flows to ESG-oriented investments.

I think survey results provide some insights on the overall sentiment of the wider finance community towards sustainable investments.
